Union minister Vijay Goel began the “Youth for Modi” campaign to connect students and youth directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.The campaign began today with Goel having interaction with hundreds of students and youth at the Vishwavidyalaya Metro station.Goel apprised the young audience of the numerous initiatives taken by the Modi government particularly to fulfill the aspirations of the youth of the country such as Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Start-up India, Stand-up India, Digital India and opening new technical universities and colleges.He later addressed the queries from the audience on issues and policies concerning the youth.
Goel suggested five ways to the youth of Delhi for getting involved in the forthcoming general elections: voter registration and getting other youngsters to register as voters, organising 'Chai-pe-Charcha' public meetings, engaging in door-to-door campaign activities, and discussions around #PhirEkBaarModiSarkar on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp.
Goel said there are 15 million young voters who will vote for the first time in this Lok Sabha elections.
Besides, 65 per cent population is young and below the age of 35 who needs to be reached out to make them aware about development led by the Modi government.
Goel will also carry out “Youth for Modi” campaign on Saturday, March 30, at Lodhi Garden and on Sunday March 31, at Moti Nagar.
