New Delhi, 21 December, 2019: Preparations for Modi's rally at Ramleela Maidan tomorrow are in full swing. This rally is being organised to thank PM Modi for giving ownership rights to 40 lakh residents of 1731 unauthorised colonies. Stage of 80×40 feet has been erected at Ramleela Maidan across which huge LED screens have been installed. 11 lakh signatures by residents of unauthorised colonies will be handed over to Prime Minister Modi as a thank you gesture.
Convenor of arrangements at Ramleela Maidaan, MP and former Union Minister, Vijay Goel, said that more than 2 lakh people are expected to attend the rally which will be dominated by youth and women. This rally is also important because it is being organised when Delhi Legislative elections are near too which will directly benefit BJP.
Cut-outs of Modi, Shah and Nadda have been erected around Ramleela Maidaan. It has been decorated with flags. This rally will also symbolise that after winning seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, BJP is in full-swing preparations for Delhi Legislative Assembly elections as well.
Goel said that LED screens have been installed in and outside the tents. Outside the premises, people from Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will be playing dhol.
BJP has majorly focused on unauthorised colonies in this rally because this will become a big issue in upcoming Delhi elections. A tableau of unauthorised colony has been installed too.
