NEW DELHI: BJP on Wednesday alleged that the AAP’s list of candidates for assembly polls contradicted chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s earlier assertion that corruption, crime, character and communalism were “non-negotiable” for him.
Addressing a press conference, former Delhi BJP chief and Rajya Sabha member Vijay Goel claimed that several candidates in the list had cases of corruption, violence, rape, rioting and other criminal offences against them.
Goel claimed that no candidate finalised by BJP would have a case of corruption, crime or communalism registered against them. “People of Delhi need to think in the light of the candidates of AAP as to what kind of public representatives they want,” Goel said.
