New Delhi : August 4, 2021 : Former Union Minister and President of Heritage India Foundation, Vijay Goel has demanded Padma Vibhushan Award for K. Asif the producer director of 'Mughal-e-Azam', one of the most successful films in the history of Hindi cinema. Asif has to be given Padma Vibhushan (posthumously).
Goel said giving Padma Award is a tribute to the imagination, vision, passion and hard work of its maker K. Asif. The film is known for its direction, dialogue, music, sets and costumes and also for the lead pair.
Goel said that the film 'Mughal-e-Azam' which has won three Filmfare Awards as well as National Film Award, because of the hard work, passion and vision of K.Asif, who made that film, He should be honored with 'Padma Vibhushan' in front.
Goel said that By honoring K. Asif, we will honor all those people who dream and then show the courage to fulfill their dreams. Our Prime Minister Modi ji has always said this thing that dreaming and giving flight to aspirations is the identity of youth.
Goel said that the surprise is that till now Why didn't K. Asif's name figure in the list of people who have done exceptional and extraordinary work? The previous governments conferred Padam Vibhushan to Hussain, Dilip Kumar, Khushwant Singh, Udayshar, Birju Maharaj, Sonal Mansingh, Satyajit Ray & Hrishikesh Mukherjee etc. and many others can be given Padma Vibhushan. Asif's work also no less than these recipients.
The Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India. The award is given for “exceptional and distinguished service ”
By conferring the Padma Award on Asif, once again the message ishow dreams can be realized through passion, dedication, determination and hard work in the country.
