Goel talk to voters, people tell nation needs a PM who has taken tough steps like Modi
AAP-Cong kept on attacking Modi, Modi kept on attacking Pak, terrorism – Goel
New Delhi, May 12, 2019: In the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, the Union Minister
and former BJP Delhi state president Vijay Goel took out rounds in the city to talk to the
voters. He asked the people why they are voting for Modi, to which people responded that
they are happy with Modi's bold steps like Surgical strikes, aerial strikes, and GST. Voters
shared that today India needs a prime minister who can take the tough step in the interest of
the country even if it brings a bit discomfort initially as seen in the case of the GST.
Goel said that the BJP is winning this election because both the Aam Aadmi Party and the
Congress were competing for Muslim vote bank and ignored other sections of the society.
While both of parties kept on attacking Modi, Modi kept attacking corruption, terrorism,
Naxalism and Pakistan. Aam Aadmi Party has been carrying out its negative campaign from
day one, be it a fake pamphlet on Atishi, calling Hans Raj Hans a Muslim or the false FIR
episode by Raghav Chadha, and because of this, the AAP suffered a huge loss.
Goel said that he also went to the Jama Masjid area but could not find a single table of the
AAP party workers, while the AAP kept on with its EVM tampering allegations. He said that in
these general elections the BJP has mostly focused on national issues and the Congress is
non-entity in Delhi anyway. When the Aam Aadmi Party says that they were not allowed to
work, it meant that they confess that they did not work. Goel said the alliance-fight between
the AAP and the Congress also benefited the BJP.
The BJP also benefited greatly from the rallies, road shows and meetings of Narendra Modi,
Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath, Nirmala Sitharaman, and other top leaders. At the same time,
we organized several public meetings and corner meetings. We also held voter-centric
meetings so that a leader from South addresses the people of southern India who have
settled in Delhi, and leaders from Uttarakhand, Rajasthan or Gujarat talk to the people from
their respective states who reside here in the capital city.
Besides, the joining of the three members from other parties into the BJP fold in the last few
days has also strengthened the campaign. The BJP received greater support from Dalits
after the joining of Raj Kumar Chauhan.
