Goel explains the process of regularisation

New Delhi, 24th October, 2019: MP and former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel explained the process related to regularisation of colonies and told that a Bill will be introduced for this in the upcoming Parliament session as soon as possible. Goel also told that the responsibility of delineating the boundaries would be on DDA and it will be completed in three months. This will be done through satellite imagery.
Huge hoarding congratulating Modi Ji have been put outside Vijay Goel’s house. These boards read “Pradhanmantri Modi ji ko Badhai, Anadhikrit coloniyon ko niyamit karne ka kiya kaam, dipawali par 40 lakh logon ko diya hai samaan”. Diyas were lighted at Vijay Goel’s house to celebrate the regularisation.
Goel said that these forms will be given by the DDA and then circle rates will be paid. Circle rates have been fixed to be minimal at 0.5% of stamp duty for plots less than 100sqm and 1% for plots of 100-250sqm.
Goel said that Kejriwal government had left the residents of unauthorised colonies to fend for themselves. Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Puri repeatedly wrote letters to Kejriwal but he did not delineate the boundaries. It was Kejriwal’s intention that these colonies should not be regularised because he faced big defeat in the Lok Sabha elections from these colonies.  That is why these colonies do not water, electricity etc.
Goel said that due to Central government’s decision, Kejriwal’s malicious plans have failed which is why now he is trying to score brownie points without actually having done anything. Kejriwal government has only done corruption in Delhi.
Goel, from the beginning has been raising voices for regularisation of these colonies. In 2008, Goel had organised a huge mahasammelan at Delhi’s Ramleela Maidan against Congress government for distributing provisional certificates to the residents of these colonies. This year as well, Goel organised a “Unauthorised colony chalo” campaign in which he visited these colonies and struggled for the rights of the residents.
Goel said that these colonies, irrespective of being on private or government land, will be given ownership rights. The stamp duty is also nearly free. Minimal stamp duty is being taken so that no one can challenge it. With the ownership, they will be able to take a loan for their house, FAR will be increased, and they will be able to sell and buy properties without any hassle.
Goel said that this would benefit 50 lakh people living in unauthorized colonies, who were facing difficulties for a long time and the Delhi government was cheating them. When the Delhi government raised its hands citing inability to demarcate these unauthorized colonies and asked for time till 2021, the Central Government felt that they should take action on their own. The Delhi government will no longer have any role in it.
People fully believe that it is only Modi ji who can successfully do something as challenging as this.
