Aam Aadmi Party would be relegated to third place in the coming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi: Vijay Goel
Goel inaugurated election office of BJP North-West candidate Hans Raj Han
Aam Aadmi Party to relegate to third place in Lok Sabha polls – Goel
Full Statehood not necessary for AAP to fulfill its Manifesto promises
New Delhi, April 26, 2019: Inaugurating the election office of Hans Raj Hans, the BJP’s candidate from North-West Delhi parliamentary constituency, Union Minister and former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel said that the Aam Aadmi Party would be relegated to third place in the coming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. The statement by Kejriwal that Rahul alone would be responsible for defeat tells that the Aam Aadmi Party is certain of its defeat in the coming polls.
Goel said that the AAP already had powers to deliver on promises it made in its election manifesto such as setting up Mohalla Clinics, new hospitals, new school, and regularisation of unauthorized colonies, but it has failed to fulfill them. The education department of the Kejriwal government has more than 80 vacant lands on which schools can be built; similarly, the preparatory work necessary to regularize the unauthorized colonies is still unfinished on the part of the Delhi government.
Goel said that besides been a leading figure in the world of music, Hans Raj Hans has also been actively involved in social service. In the aftermath of the Gujarat earthquake, he raised funds worth 2.5 lakh pounds through a public event in New York, which he later donated to the Gujarat government for the welfare of the victims.
Goel said that the people of Delhi have seen the real face of Kejriwal and they will teach a lesson to him in the coming Lok Sabha polls.

Business Standard- BJP reaching out to city traders through various initiatives: Union Minister Vijay Goel
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, the BJP has gone all out to woo the city traders – the party's traditional vote bank – by reaching out to them through various initiatives, Union minister Vijay Goel said Monday.
Encouraged by the "huge success" of Rashtriya Vyapari Dhanyawad Mahasammelan at Talkatora stadium held last Friday, the party believes Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pro-trader announcements will offset the "negative publicity" generated by moves like sealing, demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Goel, who belongs to the traders community and has been busy in recent months in reaching out the city traders, was instrumental in holding the traders Mahasammelan addressed by the Prime Minister.
"Thousands of traders from the city as well as other parts of the country attended the Mahasammelan. Its success shows that traders in the country are still strongly backing the BJP," Goel told PTI.
The BJP Sankalp Patra promising a National Traders' Welfare Board, pension for all small shop-owners above the age of 60, accidental insurance for all GST-registered traders, merchant credit card, and collateral-free business loans of up to Rs 50 lakh to small and medium enterprises, show that the party cares for the traders in the country, he said.
In recent times, the Congress and ruling AAP in Delhi have tried to "misguide" traders through a "misinformation" campaign against demonetisation, GST and sealing drive in Delhi, Goel alleged.
"I have been meeting the traders for last few months and clarifying them about how the Modi government is working tirelessly for their welfare and growth. The National Traders Welfare Board proposed by our Sankalp Patra is an example of it," he said.
Goel, a two time Lok Sabha MP from the traders hub Chndni Chowk has been dealing on behalf of his party with the anger of traders hit by sealing drive undertaken by Supreme Court mandated monitoring committee through BJP ruled municipal corporations.
"The issue of sealing is under active consideration and it will be resolved through consultations with stakeholders after model code of conduct ends," Goel said.
Once the elections are over, I will raise the issue of sealing with the Centre, Delhi government, courts and the municipal corporations to provide respite to the traders in the city, Goel said.
The Pioneer- Traders backing BJP, says Vijay Goel
Encouraged by the huge success of Rashtriya Vyapari Dhanyawad Mahasammelan at Talkatora stadium held on Friday last week, Union Minister and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Vijay Goel on Monday said that traders in the country are still strongly backing the BJP. The party has gone all out to woo the city traders — the party’s traditional vote bank — through various initiatives, he said.
Goel, who belongs to the traders’ community and has been busy in recent months in reaching out the city traders, was instrumental in holding the Mahasammelan last week. The Mahasammelan was addressed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Goel expresses gratitude for making Rashtriya Vyapari Mahasammelan a grand success
Matter of sealing is under active consideration, would try to resolve it through consultations after Model Code of Conduct expires
New Delhi, April 20, 2019: President of Rashtriya Vyapari Mahasammelan and Union Minister Vijay Goel expressed gratitude to all traders who came to Talkatora Stadium and turned the event into a huge success.
Goel also thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for speaking directly to traders and said that the promises made by Shri Modi would be fulfilled because for the BJP, it is a Sankalp Patr (resolution document) and not Ghoshna Patra (manifesto). The promises are:
Establishing the National Traders’ Welfare Board
Pension for all small shop-owners above the age of 60
Rs 10 lakh accidental insurance for all GST-registered traders
Merchant credit card on the lines of Kisan Credit Card
Collateral-free business loans of up to Rs 50 lakh to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
‘Technology Centres’ for the capacity-building of entrepreneurs and startups
10% mandatory sourcing from enterprises in which women form 50% of the total workforce
Traders have happily welcomed these announcements. Goel assured traders that the BJP is well aware of the sealing issue in Delhi. The sealing drive is being carried out by the monitoring committee on the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court and a solution would be found out after consulting with traders’ associations. Since the model code of conduct is in force, an immediate resolution would not be possible, besides many cases have been pending in the Court.
Goel said there are different kinds of sealing issues in different places. For example, many people facing the heat of sealing were permitted to employ only 5 persons and 5 horsepower in their trade. However, our government extended this to 9 persons and 11 horsepower, providing relief to lakhs of traders.
Goel appealed to traders to give their best to make Narendra Modi PM again.
Indian Express- At Talkatora stadium, BJP trader leader is surrounded on stage
A group of traders, mostly from Mayapuri where violence broke out during a sealing drive last week, gathered on the stage after the Prime Minister and senior leaders left the venue, and surrounded trader leader Praveen Khandelwal.AdvertisingThey told Khandelwal, who is also a BJP member, that they were unhappy the PM did not speak a word on sealing despite assurances by BJP leaders in the run-up to the event that he would.
Traders’ union president from Mayapuri Inderjeet Singh said, “Seven units have been sealed and Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has a list of more than 785… We were expecting some assurance. If he would have spoken a line on sealing, it would have been enough for us.”
Khandelwal told traders that the Mayapuri case is different from sealing in areas like Defense Colony and Amar Colony. In Mayapuri, he said, it is done by DPCC, which is under Delhi government, while in other parts, it is being done by the Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee.
He said that if BJP comes to power, the party will come up with an amnesty scheme to provide relief to traders. Another trader from Mayapuri, Manmohan Singh, said, “We know the DPCC is under the Delhi government but we still expected Modiji, being our PM, to put our minds at ease from the fear of sealing.”
Union Minister Vijay Goel said, “Traders from Mayapuri had come to me as well and I told them sealing in Delhi is being done on the directions of the court, and is not under the purview of the PM. They need to wait for a year and by that time we will be in power in Delhi as well… then we will ensure that these things are stopped.”
Hindustan Times- PM Narendra Modi to address traders convention in New Delhi today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a gathering of traders at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi today.
He is likely to talk about the Bharatiya Janata Party’s promises for traders that the party has made in its Sankalp Patra, the party’s manifesto.
Among the many things the BJP has promised in its manifesto are accident insurance of Rs 10 lakh, pension after the age of 60, and simplification of GST.
That the PM will address a traders’ summit today was announced by Union minister Vijay Goel at a press conference.
Union minister Vijay Goel earlier said prominent business leaders and office-bearers of all market associations in Delhi have been invited to “Rashtriye Vyapari Dhanyawad Mahasammelan”.
“Crores of traders want to express their gratitude to the Prime Minister for the BJP’s Sankalp Patra promising measures like accident insurance of Rs 10 lakh, pension after 60 years, traders credit card, simplification of GST and also exemption from income tax up to Rs 5 lakhs,” Goel said.
He said, “BJP has included core and fundamental issues of the business community which include formation of a National Traders Welfare Board, a National Policy for Retail Trade, pension to traders above the age of 60 years, accidental insurance of Rs 10 lakh to traders who are registered under GST, Vyapari credit card on pattern of Kisan credit card to traders, etc.”
Delhi BJP chief Tiwari claimed only the saffron party can permanently solve the problems of traders.
“The traders of Delhi are wise and very well understand the falsehood of the Kejriwal government. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has never raised his voice in the interest of the traders. If any party can solve the problems of traders on a permanent basis, it is the BJP,” Tiwari asserted.
The BJP had released its manifesto on April 8 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, Union home minister Rajnath Singh and finance minister Arun Jaitley. The manifesto also promised to set up a ‘National Traders Welfare Board’ for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs).
Modi government has taken bold steps to ensure the country’s security and when the country is safe, trade environment also remains safe: Goel
PM Narendra Modi addresses traders, says India became golden bird because of traders
Trading community stands united to make Narendra Modi PM again – Goel
Stadium resonates with slogan- Karodo Vyapari, Modi ke Abhaari
New Delhi, April 19, 2019: Union Minister and former BJP Delhi President Vijay Goel welcomed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on behalf of thousands of traders gathered at Talkatora Stadium to thank the Prime Minister for announcing national traders’ welfare board and pension for small shop owners in BJP’s Sankalp Patr and said that for the first time in the past 70 years, a Prime Minister is talking directly to traders of the country.
Goel said that the Modi government has taken bold steps to ensure the country’s security and when the country is safe, trade environment also remains safe. He said Modi is second Gandhi because he has walked in Mahatma Gandhi’s footsteps, and carried out a wide range of reforms in the country. The trading community has always been a supporter of the BJP and with the assurances made in BJP’s Sankalp Patr, it wishes to see Shri Narendra Modi Prime Minister again.
Goel said that he will setup a centre for traders in Delhi to resolve their issues and grievances by discussing and raising them with the DDA and other government bodies. Entire stadium resonated with the slogans of “Modi, Modi” and “Karodo Vyapari, Modi Ke Abhari”.
Standing amidst thousands of enthusiastic traders, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that traders have always kept the national interest above and have immensely contributed to the nation’s development. He said it was because of traders that India was known as the “golden bird” all around the world. After independence, a perception was created by the Congress party that whatever wrong was happening was due to traders and businessmen. Calling traders a hard-working force, Prime Minister said that traders are a big stakeholder in the nation’s progress.
Hindustan Times- BJP reaches out to traders in East Delhi
The Bharatiya Janata Party has started campaigning in markets to reach out to city’s trading community. As part of the efforts, Union minister and Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goel on Wednesday held meetings with traders’ associations in East Delhi .
Goel said the BJP will hold similar meetings in all markets. “We will hold meetings with traders’ associations to know their concerns and look for ways to address them. We have addressed a lot of issues in our manifesto.”
The BJP leader on Wednesday met traders in Gandhi Nagar and Old Seelampur and said the party would constitute a welfare board for the community once it returns to power at the Centre.
“Matters related to traders would be addressed once the welfare board is established. Now traders would be in direct contact of the government all through the year. Small shop owners are particularly pleased as no party addressed their grievances,” said Goel.
With businesses being badly hit by the ongoing sealing drive, BJP members said they were explaining to traders what measures the Centre had taken to address the issue.
“We have made changes in the Master Plan to provide relief from sealing. But the matter is before the apex court and traders know it,” said Shyam Jaju, in-charge of Delhi BJP.
The Delhi BJP has directed its workers to meet traders and tell them about the work done by the Modi government.
“We asked workers to go to each market and tell traders about steps taken by the Centre to ease the implementation of the goods and services tax,” said Rajesh Bhatia, general secretary, Delhi BJP.
