Vijay Goel says, “Namo Chai Charcha “ will send the message- “Vikas Bhi, Imaan Bhi Garibon Ka Samman Bhi”

As a part of its Lok Sabha campaign and buoyed by the success of its Namo Tea Party yesterday , the  Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party will hold the biggest tea party of Delhi “Namo Chai Charcha ”  comprising more than 10,000 persons at 10 am on  February 10 at   Barah Tooti Chowk . The event is organised to convey Sh. Narendra Modi’s message to the people-
“Vikas Bhi, Imaan Bhi
Garibon Ka Samman Bhi”

Addressing a press conference today, Delhi BJP President Sh. Vijay Goel said, “This “Namo Chai Charcha” will focus on some key issues of governance and corruption. We will take this opportunity to highlight the fact that both the Congress led UPA at the Centre and the AAP-Congress alliance government in Delhi are corrupt, inefficient, non-performer and anti-people.”

Sh. Goel said, “The party has planned a series of innovative evens as a part of its Lok Sabha campaign.  We have set up a task force to come out with publicity material that will be distributed at Namo Chai Charcha and other such events in coming days.

Sh. Goel informed that this time the election campaign is different from the previous Lok Sabha campaigns as with increasing use of social media and other interactive tools, our campaign has become very interactive in Delhi.

“We are inviting people to contribute with the slogans. Their suggestions are being asked for party’s national manifesto also. ”

Sh. Goel said, “During all the activities for Lok Sabha campaign, governance and corruption will  figure prominently in party’s campaign in Delhi. In fact, the BJP has maintained a persistent pressure on AAP to act against Congress leaders on issue of corruption.. Due to this moutning pressure of the BJP, AAP has been forced to send some CWG cases to the ACB. However, all this could be eyewash also. The BJP, however, would  not allow either AAP or Congress to run away with corruption.”

“We will ensure that corrupt Congress leaders are sent to jail.  We also want resignation of Delhi Law Minister and Education minister. Both of them have been proved corrupt beyond any doubt.  Delhi Chief Minister should dismiss them immediately if he is really sincere about tackling corruption. However, he is actually protecting and promoting them. “

Sh. Goel warned that AAP has already created a mess in the power sector and Delhi will have to brace up one of the most terrible summers due to uncertainty of power supply. “Delhi might lose its power supply anytime; the Delhi government seems to be more interested in playing up the confrontation rather than resolving the crisis. Already we are experiencing 8% higher power tariff, long unscheduled power cuts.  And the situation is deteriorating further. Why can’t Kejriwal stop shooting from the hip and just focus on resolving the issues of governance. The time he spends in criticising everyuone else and trying to hog the limelight with his antics could be well spent in resolving power crisis and other issues of Delhi,” said Sh. Goel.

Meanwhile, Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena chief Sh. Jai Bhagwan Goel today merged his party with the BJP. Hundreds of his supporters were present on this occasion.

Bharti, Sisodaia should be dismissed, AAP hiding non-performance with political stunts: Vijay Goel

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party today  called upon it party cadres to  go all out at the grassroots level and expose the fact that AAP  leaders are political mercenaries and it is a Maoist outfit.
A polticial resolution  passed by the  Delhi BJP state executive after deliberations for  more than five hours  said, “Delhi is currently being ruled by a bunch of political mercenaries hired, supported and controlled by Congress party….The   words and action of AAP leaders expose the fact that it is a Maoist outfit.”

The Delhi BJP also asked for immediate dismissal of the corrupt ministers Somnath Bharti and Manis Sisodia. It condemned the mudslinging, use of abusive language, intolerance and undemocratic behaviour of AAP government.

The party thanked people of Delhi for the support it extended to the party making it emerge as the single largest party.

Addressing the state executive, Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel urged the party workers to go all out to expose AAP and work at grassroots level to ensure that BJP wins all seven Lok Sabha seats. AAP and Congress are two sides of the same coin and Congress should withdraw support if it does not agree with AAP policies.

“Instead of delivering on the promises which AAP made to the people, it is trying to divert the attention of people away from its   failures by creating political drama and indulging in mudslinging. During the last one month of AAP government’s tenure, the day to day life of a common household in Delhi has gone from bad to worse,” said the political resolution listing some of the key issues-

The power tariff has been hiked by 8%, the announcement of 50% reduction in power tariff has remained on paper and not reflected in bills.
The water tariff has been hiked by 10%.
The contract employees are not being regularized.
Massive transfers have been done in every government department creating an unworkable atmosphere as many senior officials are being asked to report to officers much junior to them.
Shri Goel said, “AAP’s JanLokpal is a political stunt. It should dismiss corrupt ministers and focus on strengthening Lokayukta if it is really serious about tacking corruption.  The attempts by Congress to obstruct Shri Naredndra Modi’s victory march will not succeed. The BJP workers in Delhi are fully geared up to ensure historic victory for the party in Lok Sabha polls on all seven Lok Sabha seats.”

Addressing the state executive the newly appointed Delhi BJP incharge Shri Prabhat Jha said, “I am confident that if we all work together with clear focus, then victory will be ours.”  He asked the party workers to work in close coordination and put up a united front.  The Delhi BJP has a strong organizational unit with highly motivated party workers and it would surely win all seven Lok Sabha seats in the coming polls, said Shri Jha.

Exposed by BJP, AAP is indulging in political blackmail : Vijay Goel

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party today slammed AAP government for indulging in politics of blackmail to divert attention away from its non-performance. The party also demanded resignation of AAP ministers Manish Sisodia and Somnath Bharati for being corrupt and unethical.
Addressing a Press Conference today Delhi BJP President Sh. Vijay Goel said “Today’s demonstration of AAP at BJP leader Sh. Arun Jaitley’s house amounts to political blackmail. As BJP is exposing AAP every day  and asking for accountability, so AAP is now  using these tactics to take the  attention of people and away from the real issues.”

Sh. Goel said that the real issues on which AAP needs to come out with answers are –
1.      Why Kejriwal is protecting corrupt ministers like Somnath Bharati and Manish Sisodia. Bharati is an internationally notorious spammer, has been reprimanded by Courts, is named in FIRs by African women.
Manish Sisodia misused foreign funds granted to his NGO ‘Kabir’ for personal use. An inspection by the Union Home Ministry’s Controller of Accounts in 2012 concluded after inspecting NGO Kabir’s accounts, “In several cases, payments are not supported with relevant documents and are routed through Manish Sisodia in cash.” These irregularities included payment of rent to Sisodia's wife without receipts, unexplained travel expenses and even a "reimbursement" to Sisodia for servicing his car!

Sisodia’a  NGO had received more than Rs 2 crore in foreign contributions between 2005-06 and 2010-11 and the inspection was done in accordance with the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, covering the period from 2005-06 to 2011-12

2.      Why AAP MLA Madan Lal kept quiet from December 7 upto now about the alleged bribe offer made to him? . Why a case shouldn’t be registered against him for not reporting a “crime” (of being offered bribe). Why AAP didn’t mention this fact at any platform till yesterday?
3.      Kejriwal has full powers to register a case against Sheila Dikshit and other Congress leaders for corruption as Anti-Corruption Branch is under Delhi government? Why is he staging this ‘political drama’ of writing to the President and seeking permission to prosecute Sheila Dikshit for corruption? And why there is no move against any other Congress minister?
4.      Kejriwal failed to deliver on any of the promises he made. Why the power tariff was hiked to 8%? Why he has not been able to check long power cuts? Why there is no improvement in water supply? Why he has not been able to regularise guest teachers and other contract employees as he had promised? Why government schools continue to be in a complete mess? Why there is no clear decision on scrapping of BRT corridor? Where are the 5500 auto rickshaws which were announced to be allowed to ply in NCR?
Sh. Goel said, "The BJP will continue to expose AAP and its non performance undeterred by the politics of blackmail. The people of Delhi have seen the real faces of AAP leaders. They believe in spreading anarchy, they are intolerant and governance is the last priority for them. "

AAP’s baseless allegations an attempt to divert focus away from its non-performance: Vijay Goel

The Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today led a three Km long protest march in the walled city to protest the mishandling of power sector by AAP-Congress alliance government in Delhi leading to hike in power tariffs and threat of long power cuts looming large over the city.

The BJP has been protesting on the streets of Capital for the last two days against the power crisis and hike in power tariff.

Shri Goel hit out at the attempts of AAP leaders to divert attention of people from the power crisis and its non performance by making wild allegations against BJP. It is his own party's contradictions that has created a crisis for AAP."

"Why did the AAP MLA keep quiet from Dec. 7 upto now if an alleged offer was made to him. Where was his conscience? The fact is that AAP is forging lies as it is not able to deliver on its promises."

Shri Goel said, "During AAP-Cong alliance rule so far not even a single promise has been fulfilled. There is complete chaos and anarchy. People are fed up of political acrobatics of Kejriwal and his colleagues. This govt. is falling under the burden of its non performance. No one else needs to do anything. Anyone who raised questions within AAP is forced to leave. It is clear that AAP-Cong alliance has betrayed people of Delhi and are unfit to rule. If this government cannot deliver it should quit instead of blaming others."

Authorities need to be pro active to prevent harassment of people from north east: Vijay Goel

To express solidarity with people of northeast and to press for immediate action against guilty who killed an Arunachal Pradesh student in the Capital, the Delhi BJP today held a dharna at the Rajghat.
Addressing the BJP workers, Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel said, "I have already spoken to the police commissioner and I am going to meet him on Monday to demand for immediate action on this case."

"There is an urgent need to set up helplines at district level as students from north eastern state often get harassed. The authorities need to be sensitised to react quickly to complaints and to take preventive steps to check harassment to people from north eastern states and especially students."

Shri Goel said, "A survey by North-East help Centre in Delhi shows that around 60 per cent of women from north east feel harassed.  There have been cases of harassment of students. This situation needs to be reversed immediately."

The BJP has always stood by people from north eastern states in Delhi and will continue to do so. We condemn this barbaric act and will relentlessly pursue for justice to be done in this case, said Shri Goel.

Expressing shock and grief over the killing of the young student from Arunachal Pradesh, leader of opposition in Delhi Assembly, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, "There is an urgent need to take steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. The guilty of committing this crime should be brought to the book."

New unholy nexus of Congress-AAP-Discoms looting Delhi consumers: Vijay Goel

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party today launched its “Bijli Andolan” to protest the rise of power tariff in Delhi as well unscheduled power cuts. A large number of BJP wokers including legislators, councillors and the party office bearers gathered at  Bhajanpura  to lauhch this agitation which was led by Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel.
The party is demanding immediate roll back of the hike in recent power tariff and uninterrupted power supply across the city.

Addressing the protesters, Shri Goel said, the people of Delhi want answers of five questions from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-
1.       His party had promised a reduction of 50% in power tariff for all consumers, but instead of reduction, Delhi’ites got the new year ‘gift’ of 8% rise in power tariff from this government. Why did the tariff increase istead of being slashed?
2.       Delhi government has also equity of upto 49% in DISCOMS. How can it be unaware about the proposed hike in tariff as it the government is a major shareholder and no major step can be taken without a major shareholder’s consent or knowledge?
3.       What alternative arrangements Kejriwal has made for ensuring uninterrupted power supply to Delhi in case DISCOMS do not agree to do so?
4.       Why Kejriwal has not yet announced the time frame within which the CAG audit of the DISCOMS will complete ?   Why is he not coming out with a clear timeframe on this?
5.       Why Kejriwal did not try to break the monopoly of these companies by atleast allowing both of them to operate in whole of Delhi. This would have allowed consumers to have some choice and the companies would have been compelled to bring down power tariff?
Shri Goel said as the BSES Yamuna has threatened for 10 hour long power cuts in Trans-Yamuna area, so the party decided to launch its “Bijli Andolan” from this area itself. “We will take out protest marches, hold dharna and demonstrations in every part of the city as consumers are being befooled by Congress backed AAP government.

“I heard Arvind Kejriwal on TV threatening to cancel the license of DISCOMS. It looks good on TV to give such bytes but the point is what is the alternative arrangements his government is making? If Govt. cancels the license of DISCOMS who will take over supply immediately? Can this govt. cancel the license of the DISCOMS?  Why he could not check the 8% power tariff hike well in time? Why the reduction in power tariff announced by him is not reflecting in power bills?,” said Shri Goel.

The  answer to all these and many more questions lie in the fact that Kejriwal and his government are being remote controlled by Congress with whose support he is running his government. And all of us know that Congress and private DISCOMS had an unholy nexus and they have looted Delhi for 15 years. Now Kejriwal is dancing to the tune of Congress.

His threats to DISCOMS are not real but ‘fake’. He and his colleagues are only interested in playing to the gallery. He has not taken right kinds of steps to bring the power tariff down while ensuring uninterrupted power supply.   However, the BJP will expose this new unholy nexus of “AAP-Cong-Discoms” and not allow Delhi’ites to be taken for a ride.

Those who participated in the agitation today included legislators from the area SS Chauhan, Naresh Gaur, MS Bisht, Jitendra Mahajan. Several councillors also participated including Sanjay Surjan, Anita Tayal, Deepti Joshi, Mehek Singh. The district presidents Shri Anil Gupta and Shri Ajay Mahawar also participated in the protest.    Several state level office bearers of the party including Delhi BJP general secretary Shri Jaiprakash were also present.

AAP government busy in dharnas, little time for administration leading to series of crisis: Vijay Goel

The Delhi BJP President Shri Vijay Goel today announced that the party will launch a massive agitation  against the ‘power cuts’ announced  by BSES in Trans-Yamuna area and the AAP government’s failure to come up with a back-up plan.
“The party will hold a demonstration at Bhajanpura on Saturday, February 1. This will mark the beginning of our ‘Bijl Andloan’. We waited for one month for this government to act but the situation has worsened. There are unscheduled power cuts for long hours already happening in several parts of the city and now there is a possibility of 10-hour long power cuts in Trans-Yamuna area,” said Shri Goel.

The Bijli Andolan will expose the false promises made by the AAP and its mishandling of the power sector so far. The much hyped power bills reduction is not reflected in the power bills. The announcement has remained in paper and people continue to get inflated bills. On top of that there are power cuts and now there is a distinct possibility of 10-hour long power cuts in the city.

Shri Goel said, “No power sector company can be allowed to hold Delhi’ites at ransom. The worst part is that the half-baked attempts of AAP government has messed up the power sector scenario in the capital. Where is the back-up plan to ensure that there are no power cuts? The Chief Minister should have been well aware that such situation could happen. He didn’t make any preparations for that. So now the Delhi’ites are left at the mercy of power companies.”

The BJP had come out with a well chalked out plan of reducing the power tariff for all consumers. But what AAP government did was to make some announcements that were not to be fulfilled. Further, it failed to reign in the power companies. He did not initiate any action against these power companies for the power cuts during the last month. Why has the government not done anything to rectify the electricity metres which are running so fast?

Shri Goel said that the latest crisis is another example of the anarchy prevailing within the Delhi government. The Chief Minister and ministers are busy in haggling cops and creating trouble for the people by holding dharnas. Had they focused on governing the city, this crisis would have been averted well in time. But probably this government’s strategy is to create crisis where there is no crisis. “There is criminal neglect of administration on every front and this cannot be accepted any more,” said Shri Goel.

Goel

BJP fully geared up to clean sweep all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi: Vijay Goel

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party today launched  its “Ek note-Kamal par vote” campaign in Delhi   with a target to touch every household in the city under the Mission 272 plus. The campaign was kicked off by BJP national president Sh. Rajnath Singh in the presence of thousands of BJP workers at Constitution Club.
Under this month long campaign, tThe Delhi BJP  will collect the donations from every home for the election campaign for Lok Sabha through 12000 boxes each of which will be taken in a different area of the Capital. The party workers will also ask the voters to cast a symbolic vote while collecting the money.

Addressing the party workers, BJP National President Sh. Rajnath Singh said that the writing on the wall is clear that the whole country is looking for a change for the betterment and BJP led NDA has emerged as the only viable alternative.

Sh. Singh said this campaign would help to strengthen the bond between people and the party. The workers must try and reach every home.   The people of this country are tired of the  rampant corruption and inflation and  opportunistic policies of Congress led UPA. They are looking for a change and BJP is capable of that.

Addressing the party workers Sh. Singh said, “The Delhi BJP President  Sh. Vijay Goel said that the party has chalked out a plan for the Lok Sabha campaign and is fully geared up. “We will win all seven Lok Sabha seats with a handsome margin. That will be our humble contribution in the mission to  bring a BJP led NDA government at the centre which will be able led by the “Vikas-purush” Sh. Narendra Modi. His growing popularity cuts across castes, religions, communities and geographical boundaries,” said Sh. Goel.

Sh. Goel urged the party workers to expose AAP’s U-turn and alliance with corrupt Congress during this campaign. “There is anarchy in Delhi and people of Delhi are feeling betrayed by the way administration is handled. The AAP government has failed to meet the promises it made. Announcements are galore but the impact on gorund is zero. Ask any Delhi’ite and he or she would tell you how pathetic this government is,” said Sh. Goel.

The leader of opposition in Delhi Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, “It is time to throw out the corrupt government and usher into a new era of development. This campaign will play a crucial part in creating more awareness about BJP’s policies and agenda.”

Vijay Goel to take up cause of ‘special status’ for Rajasthan to help in speedy development

The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party President Shri Vijay Goel who filed nomination for Rajya Sabha in Jaipur today said that he would take up the cause of providing special status to Rajasthan in the parliament that would help a great deal in speedy development of the state.
Shri Goel was accompanied by Rajasthan Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhra Raje, senior BJP leaders Smt. Kiran Maheshwari and Shri Srichand Kriplani while filing the nomination for the upper house of the parliament.

Earlier during the day Shri Goel attended the Rajasthan BJP legislature meet chaired by the Rajasthan Chief Minister. Addressing the legislators Shri Goel said that he would work hard to the best of his abilities to present case of Rajasthan and raise issues related to the state in the parliament.

“We will work together to achieve the 2025 vision of the chief minister to make Rajasthan a leading state on the development map of India. There are challenges in the power, water and several other sectors that can be met more effectively if Rajasthan gets a special status. Once the BJP led NDA comes to power at the Centre, I am sure that would help us to get the special status for the state.  Desertification is a major challenge in the state. To check this we need huge resources which would come by way of special status,” he added.

Expressing his gratitude to the party leadership and the Rajasthan BJP leaders and legislators for choosing him to be made member of Rajya Sabha from the state Shri Goel said, “I am sure with collective hardwork and under the dynamic leadership of Smt. Vasundhra Raje, the BJP will win all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state.”

“As Delhi BJP President, I am confident that we will make a clean sweep of all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi also,” said Shri Goel.

Talking to the media after filing his nomination Sh. Goel said, “In Rajasthan, under the leadership of Smt vasundhra Raje and with hardwork of lakhs of BJP cadres, the party scored a historic victory by getting two-third majority. In days to come, I am confident that the dreams for the state will be realised by the sincere efforts and dedication of the BJP government in the state.”

Shri Goel said, “The BJP workers are now fully geared up to repeat the results of Rajasthan results at the national level and to ensure that Shri Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister of the country. This would ensure that India is ushered into a new era of growth and development.”
